The Law Firm of O’Connell & Plumb, P.C. is an “AV” rated general practice firm located in Springfield, Massachusetts. Practice areas include real estate, business law, litigation, and commercial transactions, including restructurings, work-outs, and creditor’s rights in bankruptcy.


The Firm’s attorneys have extensive experience in defending major institutional and commercial clients. Such representation has included representation before Federal, State, and Municipal bodies in both Massachusetts and Connecticut. Additionally, the Firm’s attorneys have significant experience in business litigation, creditor rights, subrogation, collection, and insurance coverage law.


O’Connell & Plumb, P.C. is located in the heart of downtown Springfield at 75 Market Place, Springfield, Massachusetts, 01103. Our attorneys’ hourly rates range from $300.00 to $350.00 per hour. 

Attorney Daniel J. O'Connell

Attorney Daniel J. O’Connell, born in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, receiving a B.A., Cum Laude. Attorney O’Connell then graduated from the Boston University School of Law in 1987. He was admitted in 1987 to practice before the District Court of Massachusetts, the United States District Court and the United States Court of Appeals, First Circuit, as well as the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Hampden County and Massachusetts Bar Associations and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He has published articles in professional journals on Bank lender liability, Employment and Labor law. He has further lectured on trial practice for continuing legal education courses in Massachusetts. 

Attorney Jerry B. Plumb, Jr.

Attorney Jerry B. Plumb, Jr. graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 1983. Mr. Plumb graduated from the Boston University School of Law in 1986 and was admitted to practice in the Courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the Federal Appeals Court for the First Circuit. He has been awarded an “AV rating” by Martindale-Hubbell, its highest level.


Mr. Plumb specializes in banking law, business law, contracts, commercial finance, real estate, and commercial litigation. Mr. Plumb resides in Longmeadow with his wife and two children and is actively involved in numerous civic and charitable organizations in Western Massachusetts.
